The iconic American sports car Mustang celebrates its 60th anniversary this year. The Mustang is a car that captures the imagination of a very wide audience. If you drop the name Mustang, there are always a few eyes twinkling in a crowd. I myself have a soft spot for the Mustang, especially since I drove down Route 66 twice in a Mustang.

And now that Mustang has turned 60, which is being celebrated at our national car museum, Autoworld, in the Parc du Cinquantenaire in Brussels. That exhibition runs until the end of June.

The Mustang guru is Adelbert Engler, whose life for years has been defined by everything that has to do with Ford Mustang from far or near. Adelbert successfully runs the Mustang Garage in Heusden-Zolder, Limburg. Every year he organizes Mustang Fever, a bit of the Rock Werchter of the automotive world, which attracts about 1,000 Mustangs and tens of thousands of visitors who enjoy everything about Mustangs. Adelbert Engler is a guest on my podcast ‘Guy’s Garage’ this time, which you can listen to via this link. Have fun!
